The Canadian military is constantly recruiting in an effort to fill the various positions within the Army, Navy and Air Force. The recruitment process is extensive but there are a lot of perks to working within the Canadian military.
Those who wish to dedicate only part time hours to the Canadian military are able to do so, and still go to tilt school full time, or maintain a full time career. There is no obligation of anyone to serve overseas away from home. There are hundreds of locations across Canada that people can choose from, meaning that families often do not have to move far, if at all for a loved one wanting to pursue a career within the Canadian military.
Those who wish to dedicate full time hours to the military are required to serve at minimum three years, though often it is longer. This does not include any months that are spent in training. In exchange though for dedicating full time hours to the military you can get a completely free education. This means unlike those who have to go to school and then search for a job afterward while having a heavy debt load, you are able to go to school and have no debts when you graduate. You are also guaranteed a job upon graduation and for years afterward. You need to give two months of service for every month that they give you a free education.
As long as you have completed 10th grade, and are at least seventeen years of age, you can pursue an amazing opportunity within the Canadian Forces. Not too many other careers out there are willing to give so much to people who have done nothing for them yet. You are advanced the education on a contract that you will serve afterward. There also is very few opportunities out there for a seventeen year old who has only completed tenth grade to be able to make a living and support themselves or even a family later on.
The greatest perk of the Canadian Military is the opportunity for everyone to succeed. As long as you meet the minimum requirements they are happy to give you the opportunity to prove yourself. Under the right circumstances if you are willing to put in the time and effort into your career, by the time you are a CFR Lieutenant who puts in their time, you could be bringing home upwards of eighty thousand dollars a year. While this is not a lot for someone putting their life on the line, it is a substantial amount for a seventeen year old kid with no education to have a goal to shoot towards. A retirement package from the Canadian Forces is also substantial.
Anyone who is interested in joining the Canadian Army is encouraged to call their number, and get their questions answered. The recruitment officers are quite friendly and willing to answer all the questions before you sign up.
